Steven graduated from Yonsei University graduate school and joined KPMG Seoul office in 2002. He was engaged in statutory audit, due diligence services and etc. Steven joined SCS-Invictus in 2007 to become the bridge between Japan and Korea by supporting Japanese companies to expand and invest in Korea. Since then, he has been engaged in advising on Korean business from the point of the view of investment, accounting and tax. He provides advisory on cross border transactions, assurance services and taxation matters.

Jungmin graduated from Ewha Women’s University in Seoul, with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with minor in Economics. She started her career in KPMG Korea in 2006 and worked for four years, involving in audit, advisory and tax services. In 2010, Jungmin moved to Standard Chartered Bank in Korea and worked as a product controller at the bank’s derivatives department. Jungmin joined SCS-Invictus in 2016 and is currently the responsible director for businesses based on English related accounting and tax services.

Kyungmi graduated from Sungshin Women’s University in Seoul, with a bachelor’s degree in Japanese Language and Literature and minor in Business Administration. She joined KPMG Seoul office in 2003 and worked for seven years, involving in tax and audit services. During that period, she worked in International tax team of KPMG Tax Tokyo office under an overseas program of KPMG group in 2005. She joined SCS-Invictus in 2011 and is currently the responsible director for businesses based on Japanese related accounting and tax services.

Munyang graduated from Yonsei University in Seoul, with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She joined KPMG Seoul office in 2004 and worked for ten years, involving in tax and audit services. She joined SCS-Invictus in 2019 and is currently the responsible director for businesses of accounting and tax services.

Kenichi “Ken” Shohtoku is a founder of SCS-Invictus and serves as the Group Managing Director. Ken graduated from Keio University in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in economics. After passing his CPA (Japan) exam in 1996, Ken joined Arthur Andersen in Tokyo. Following four successful years in Japan he was seconded to Kuala Lumpur where he assumed the Manager position of Japanese desk. Ken left Arthur Andersen in 2001 and founded SCS-Invictus in 2002. He has supported numerous companies to expand their businesses in South East Asia and Japan and has over 20 years of hands-on work experience in assurance, consulting and corporate finance. In addition, Ken holds multiple board positions and is a regular speaker at public events.

Mike graduated from Waseda University and joined Arthur Andersen Tokyo office in 1997. He was engaged in statutory audit, due diligence services and support for IPOs. Mike was seconded to Kuala Lumpur to provide consulting services to the Japanese companies in the field of investment, accounting and taxation from 2001 to 2004. Upon return to Japan, he joined Arthur Andersen’s Transaction Advisory Services team and performed due diligence services for M&A, restructuring and other corporate finance services. Mike joined SCS-Invictus in 2005 to become the bridge between Japan and India by supporting Japanese companies to expand and invest in India. Since then, he has been engaged in the advice on Indian business from the point of the view of investment, accounting and tax. He provides the advisory on cross border transactions, assurance services and financial matters. Mike also acts as an external CFO for couple of SCS-Invictus’s clients.

Matthew graduated from Keio University in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in economics and joined a TSE listed retail company. During his tenure in the firm Matthew was mainly involved in the financial side of operations. Subsequently, he shifted to work for an audit firm in Tokyo, and assumed responsibilities to handle monthly reports of foreign companies, tax consultation and investigation and audit. After a few years of accounting firm work, Matthew passed the examination of tax accountant and set up his own tax practise. At the time of SCS-Invictus’s founding in 2002, Matthew joined forces to SCS-Invictus and his firm was renamed as SCS Global Tax Consulting Corporation.
